We are thrilled to announce that Extera Public School, in partnership with After-School All-Stars, is the recipient of a 21st Century Grant! These important funds will go toward supporting our after-school activites and programs on our Breed and Second Street campuses for the 2019-2020 school year. This award follows on the heels of EPS2l, which is presently benefitting from a grant for this current school year. Thanks to our great partners, After-School All-Stars!

4th Graders went to the California Science Center, where they explored kinetic and potential energy, friction, and the force of gravity. They got a practical application of lesson by making miniature rollercoasters consisting of rubber tracks held in place using pegs that fit into the wall. Students could experiment with the effects the various positioning of the pegs would have in helping them meet their objective of successfully getting a ball from one end of the track to the other.
